Polytechnic School’s Cub Scouts recently gathered for the annual Pinewood Derby. The 3rd-5th-grade Scouts had been given a block of pinewood before the race and were instructed to carve it down into a car, no heavier than 6 ounces. The race was judged by Poly’s 6th- and 7th-grade Boy Scouts in the following categories: best design, most realistic, best paint job, most authentic and funniest car.
