At Waverly Elementary School’s recent Jog-a-Thon, students participated by running and walking around the track on the basketball court. Each class ran separately, with parents, teachers and friends cheering them along. Students collected pledges from friends and family and the two classes that gathered the most pledge dollars won a pizza pool party and ice cream social. Carnival games with prizes, a DJ, confetti eggs, a book sale, a bouncy house, water games, raffle tickets, lunch and a musical bandstand rounded out the day’s fun.
