Saying goodbye is never easy, but Clairbourn School accomplished it in epic style for retiring Headmaster Robert Nafie, who has served as headmaster for 39 years. Former and current parents and trustees created a send-off party at the California Club last weekend.
The cocktail reception was a homecoming for the many families served by Nafie over four decades. Former students, now adults, were also on hand to pay tribute.
Certificates of Recognition from the offices of Congresswoman Judy Chu and state Sen. Ed Hernandez were presented by former CFA President Tracy McCormick.
Committee members were Susan Codiga, Beth Price, Jill Fung, Tracy McCormick, Mary Urquhart, Jeanette Zamora, Lucy Huang Chang, Jane Marks, Livia Aryananda, Margaret Breazeal, Janny Chang and Amy Patzlaff.
