The Pasadena Art Alliance recently held its Grants Reception at the home of Judy and George Penner. At the reception, the Art Alliance awarded a record amount in grants totaling $305,000 to 28 nonprofit visual arts organizations in the San Gabriel and Greater Los Angeles areas. Each group was represented by an artist, curator or director who shared their vision of the specific project for which they received a grant.
The Grants Reception is the culmination of the Art Alliance Grants Committee’s hard work evaluating the merits of each proposal before determining the final recipients. Each grant fulfilled the mission of the Pasadena Art Alliance, which is to foster appreciation for contemporary visual arts in Southern California by supporting artists, exhibitions, educational programs and art-oriented nonprofit institutions.
