At Mayfield Junior School, the end of May is reserved for a little good-natured competition. Mayfield students are divided into teams representing the school colors for a day of games and school spirit. Blue and White Day is organized and run by the 8th-grade class and remains a student favorite. There’s free dress (blue or white, of course), a pancake breakfast lovingly prepared and served by parent volunteers, crazy games, music, tug-of-wars, having fun with your friends … and no classes.
