This year’s Giving Back Celebration, hosted by Jason and Laura Berns of the Berns Team, took place at the Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills this past week.
Guests from the Berns Team and from nonprofit organizations, who received checks from the real estate group, gathered in an open hall with snacks and a catered lunch before the presentation.
Organizations received financial gifts provided by the Berns Team totaling more than $100,000. The top 21 organizations were Odyssey Charter School ($12,500 recipient), Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills ($10,000), St. John Bosco basketball team ($6,500), Bridges ($6,500), MercyWorldwide ($6,500), Once Upon a Room ($4,500), Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation ($4,500), Monte Vista Grove Homes ($4,500), Covenant Children’s Homes ($4,500), Pasadena Police Activities League ($2,500), Door of Hope ($2,000), Precious Lamb Preschool ($2,000), Five Acres ($1,500), Dream Center Foundation ($1,500), Susan G Komen ($1,500), Children’s Hospital Los Angeles ($1,250), No Kid Hungry ($1,250), California Coalition for PKU and Allied Disorders ($1,250), The Water Project ($1,250), Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship ($1,250), and Young Life ($1,250).
