Chandler School students, parents and teachers flocked to campus for Big Service Day on Saturday. The annual event is one of many ways Chandler students learn and practice the invaluable gift of giving to others. Chandler’s nonprofit partners in the event, Union Station Homeless Services in Pasadena and My Friend’s Place in Hollywood, work to combat homelessness. During the uplifting day of service, Chandler students packaged snack bags, assembled hygiene kits, and wrote sweet cards of encouragement. A bountiful bake sale raised additional funds to advance the work of these two nonprofits.
