National Charity League, Inc., Pasadena Area Chapter held its annual Senior Recognition Rosebud Luncheon recently at a private club in Pasadena. More than 60 guests celebrated the Ticktockers and Patronesses of the class of 2017. They were formally introduced to the 2017 Presentees for the Rose Gala. This NCL tradition included an introduction of each girl and her mother and father followed by the presentation of a silk flower bouquet that will have a special role in more events preparing for the Rose Gala in June. All of these young women have been devoted to giving of their time and serving others in the community over the past six years. Each embodies the NCL spirit, showing a strong commitment to NCL’s three pillars of philanthropic service: community service, leadership development and cultural experiences. The Rosebud Luncheon was organized by the Pasadena Area Chapter’s Senior Recognition Committee, which is chaired by Patroness Kandis Jaffrey.
The purpose of the Senior Recognition is to celebrate and honor Senior Ticktockers for their six-year commitment to NCL. President Nancy Hornberger said, “The young women being presented have grown to be strong and confident leaders with an appreciation for tradition and culture centered on service to our community. They have made memories a nd lifelong friends and begun a lifelong journey of service to others.”
