The sixth annual “An Evening Among the Roses: Color OUTside the Lines” fundraiser was held recently at the Huntington Library. The event was promoted to “recognize and celebrate the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer members of the community for their many contributions to the Huntington,” according to the institution. The garden party featured music, specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dancing and a performance by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles in the spectacular Rose Garden. Artist Lari Pittman, whose works have been on view at other prestigious museums including the Getty and Los Angeles County Museum of Art, was the evening’s honoree.
