Clairbourn School’s 8th-graders graduated recently and were recognized for working hard academically, taking on leadership positions, working collaboratively on class projects, honing their public speaking skills and expressing themselves creatively.
The students also volunteer in the larger community with their service projects. In the fall, these students will attend Flintridge Prep, St. Francis, Westridge, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, Maranatha, La Salle, Alverno Heights Academy, Webb, Monrovia and San Marino high schools.
Clairbourn gave them a grand send-off at the Wednesday, June 6, graduation ceremony, which included speeches by students Cameron Coolidge, Michelle Zhou, Elise Desjarlais and Chase Walker. This was followed by a formal reception for the graduates and their families, and retiring Headmaster Robert Nafie was on hand to bid farewell to his last graduating class.
