Clairbourn’s Dr. Seuss-Inspired Carnival

The whimsical world of Dr. Seuss inspired the look and feel of this year’s Spring Carnival at Clairbourn School. This annual event is a festive celebration of the students’ yearlong academic accomplishments and also provides an opportunity to welcome new families who will attend in the 2017-18 school year.
Event co-chairs Jenny Chun Fung and Lucy Balikian coordinated a host of carnival activities such as the dunk tank, game booths, water tag, the Euro bungee, a game master, inflatable obstacle courses, inflatable slides and the inflatable safari adventure. The prize station was filled with a rainbow of small-to-large tantalizing treats for students who won game booth activities. There were also delicious meals provided by Porta Via Italian and Skewers restaurants.
The best kept secret of the whole event was the art show held at the same time in the school’s gymnasium. Parents and students know it is the place to cool off, take a break from the craziness of the carnival and appreciate a year’s worth of beautiful student art projects on display.
