Mothers’ Club Family Learning Center wrapped up an eventful program year with an intimate thank-you event for their Guardians and special friends. The Guardians are an integral group of committed Mothers’ Club donors who provide the bedrock of support for the Mothers’ Club annual fund each year.
The evening was hosted at Arlington Garden, a water-wise and community-supported garden founded by former Mothers’ Club board member Betty McKenney and Charles “Kicker” McKenney. Guests enjoyed refreshments in the garden, replete with gourmet ice cream provided by Choctál, a business owned by a Mothers’ Club board member. Highlights of the evening included a moving personal story shared by a Mothers’ Club parent participant and an unveiling of the organization’s new brand identity.
The more than 70 guests enjoyed a picturesque summer evening celebrating the work and accomplishments of Mothers’ Club Family Learning Center.
