Northern Trust, in partnership with the Pasadena Education Foundation, recently hosted a private performance of “Wheels,” by Peter Howard. Guests were treated to the performance and a moderated conversation. “Wheels” is a one-man show performed by Frankie Garcés who plays a 15-year-old Salvadorean-American youth traversing the complexities of the U.S. legal system. The performance is part of the Compassion Plays series of the Western Justice Center, which aims to reduce prejudice and inspire transformative discussion.
Diane Rankin of Northern Trust hosted the event at firm’s South Lake Avenue office.
The Western Justice Center mission is to teach conflict resolution through the principles of mediation. Its members are especially involved with anti-bullying. Conversation, wine and hors d’oeuvres followed the performance.
