About 150 parents, alumni, faculty and friends attended Flintridge Prep’s annual Golf Tournament at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club, with proceeds supporting the John Plumb Fund for professional development. Participants enjoyed golf, wine tasting, a silent auction and dinner. In his remarks, Headmaster Peter Bachmann lauded Plumb, saying, “There is no one who personifies “Prep for Life” more than John Plumb, who came to Prep in the 1950s as a 4th-grader and who graduated in 1964. He has taught and coached. He is Prep for Life.”
Golf Tournament Chair Todd Walklett highlighted the importance of faculty professional development, saying, “It’s about the teachers — the teachers who make it possible for our kids to be our kids.”
